Germany, one of the countries that most people know and one the countries most people know anything about. There are some people out there that thinks that Hitler is our president… if he would be he would 134 years now, so i think nobody in this age is able to president of anything *LOL*. But there is one thing germany is famous for that is reality, it´s german rules and laws. German people really like laws and rules a lot. They grow up with a hughe ammount of rules in their families and a lot of older people reciting laws the whole day. In germany we really have rules and laws for nearly everything but german politics and rules are sometimes not only dumb, they are existing without any need or any effect if you dont follow those rules.
Just a simple example. In germany a shop, that makes an offer in the newspaper with a special price is forced by law to have enough products to sell them for at least six hours on the day the offer starts. So if the electronic disounter of your choice offers a PS5 for 399 Euro this shop is forced to serve every customer in the first six hours, even if there are more customers than usual. But today i learned, if they are not able to fulfill this law, and really it´s a law, you have no choice but to accept this. You can call a Conciliation Board named “Verbraucherzentrale”, it´s an Agency that protects the rights of customers (in cases of fraud or fraudulent behaviour such as hughe packages that are only filled with a small ammount of product). They will adomish the shop and nothing else will happen. Also hughe discounters or hughe electronic discounters will never fear any consequences an fraudulent behaviour.
One of the best examples is “Media Markt” or “Saturn” in germany. They are well known electronic discounters, the hughest in germany and literally the same company. Actually they are promoting that they now work together in advertising, but in fact it´s the same company called “Media-Saturn AG” since a long time…
They often offer good prices, for example for Videogames. You now know me a bit and just a couple of weeks ago i wanted to buy the new “Need for Speed Unbound (PS5)” in their Advertising “buy 3 for 2”. You get the cheapest game for free in this offer. I knew that they had about 20-30 copies of the game in the shop but the day the offer starts their shelfs were empty. There were no copies of the game left and in fact their had been any expert at work cause it was nearly impossible to get 3 Games for nearly the same price, that are interesting. I mean games that are not 4 years old, but sold for the price of a new game.
The prices were raised for the offer a lot and nearly all new games were put away, so you weren´t able to buy them. My Game “Need for Speed Unbound (PS5) was in the offer for €47,99,-, about 50 Dollar. That was a price i could live with, and i had 2 other games, one for €45,99,- and one for €49,99,- i wanted to buy. But only Need for Speed wasn´t available. What a mess. I tried the same thin with full prices Games, at €64,99,- but also they had only 2 Games left that were interesting. Now you can blame me for owning actually owning 68 Games for PS5 and 625 for PS4 so i would hardly be able to get 3 Games i didn´t own together, but for real i had a list that includes about 25 Games i want to buy but i wasn´t able to get 3 Games the same price togehter. Once i had three Games one wasn´t available or on was much cheaper so it wouldn´t be a good deal to buy all 3 Games just to get the Bonus. think about it. You pay €79,99,- for 2 Games and get the third for free. Just there is only one Game in this price category that costs €49,99,-. Lets do the maths with 1 Cent more… you pay 160€ for 3 Games. you save 50€ on one Game but pay 15€ more on 2 others so you save only 20€ at all. If you now look at Amazon you will get those Games for €59,99,- so you won´t save anything, you will pay more than the Games are worth…. thats a fraud, cause the Games costs less one week before and will cost less again when the offer ends. But there is no law against this.
Also there are a lot of Scammers and Scalpers in germany. I tried to buy a new graphics card since the release of the Nvidia Ge-Force 20 Series but didn´t managed to get one for a good price. I now own a RTX 2060 for that i payed 599€ and in my main computer i use a RTX 3070ti for that i payed 799€. The normal Price for the RTX 2060 was 369€ and the Price for the RTX 3070ti should be at 599€. I would need a much stronger graphics card for my Job cause both of them are more than aged and powerless for actual gamines tests but thats really not in the budget. I actually would need at least a 4080 that will cost about about 1400€ or more. I am earnig a good salary but thats way out of my budget.
The prices are that high cause there are people out there, that have enough money, to buy more than one, maybe 10 or 12 of these cards. they buy them cheap and directly sell them for much higher prices. Thats calles scalping, i just don´t know if this is a real english word, in germany people who think tehy are smart often invent english phrases that nobody knows but these smart people. We also have words in germany like “Homeoffice” a word used for work, people do from home instead of going to their work, a big thing during corona. But i am away from the point, what i want to say… if i sell 50 or more private items on E-bay taxes agency will call me, will maybe close my bank account but if anyone buys things to sell them completely overpriced, what normally would be called an exorbitant price and is permitted by law, they could do what ever they want cause it´s not the right ammount. So if i sell all my videogames i will get problems with the tax agency if anyone is acting like a business reseller, they are not inflicted by any laws, not even if it´s against the law to sell goods for exorbitant prices.
So germany may be the country that raised me. Germany maybe the country i live in but germany is not the country i want to live. I would like to live in Japan but for Japan i think i am too fat and also i don´t like most of the food. I would like to live in the US, ok i would bake my own bread, but it´s not that easy to get a greencard and even if i would, my wife would be thr problem, she has excuses for everything. The other day i talked to her about learning english. I use an App to learn japanese acutally, just cause i find the language cool, and i told her that she could also use the App with my Premium account to learn better english. Her english is really horrible, just cause english is actually the most universal language in the World. But she has an excuse for not making a drivers license… one bad dream as a child, so i am not able to drink anything when we go out, visit the family or anything else. For learning english her excuse is that her english teacher in school was rude and her mother forced her to do additional lessons to learn this language i write my blog in. It doesn´t matter what she should do there is always a tragedy in her past that prevents a grown up woman from doing anything, learning anything, work anything and so on. It´s also MY Fault that we have nearly no sex, cause one time i push her too much, nearly force her, when she tell my about it, the other day it´s my fault cause i don´t try to get anything. I just want a more simpel life… really… i do not like a country that makes his own people idiots and where a wife can cost 100 times more than she is worth and will be protected as a poor woman when i would leave her cause she nearly drives me into suicide every day…
